Now, known as a producer of the world’s best graphene products, Graphene Square has released new products. Interest in graphene research is increasing so fast that it registers the highest frequency as a research paper topic. To its previous product list of CVD graphene film and graphene oxide, Graphene Square has added excellent-quality graphene quantum dot and TEM grid, thus establishing its world-renowned specialty as a graphene supplier. Our new products will be of much use to continued studies on graphene.
Graphene quantum dots refer to graphenes with the thickness of 1 to 10 30nm or smaller layers. A quantum dot has different shape and use than a graphene; while a graphene is strongly hydrophobic, a quantum dot is both hydrophilic and hydrophobic, being thus easily dispersed in water. Being chemically and optically stable, harmless to human body, and quantum binding, GQD is now sought after in various areas including bio, optoelectronics, energy, and environment. Notably, quantum dot characteristically emits light without relying on any external source of light, so, it is much researched as a material for next-generation display that can replace OLED. Thus, big corporations like SAMSUNG Electronics have unveiled a TV that adopts quantum dot.
Graphene Square creates quantum dot from graphene fiber in a top-down mode. To ensure its application in research, quantum dot must be able to get its size adjusted to specific uses. And you can buy quantum dots of adjusted sizes from Graphene Square.
The product, which has monolayer CVD graphene placed on TEM grid, can get you a high-quality TEM image. TEM image of graphene shows hexagonal structure and grain boundary. Seoul National University’s Prof. Hong Byeong hee’s research team confirmed the presence of nanobubbles in graphene liquid cell with TEM image. Thus, we recommend the product to those who want to check atomic structure with TEM image. Graphene Square also provides 0% PMMA samples to keep contamination to the minimum.
